DAY 1: CITY OF ORIGIN / ROME

Arrival and transfer assistance to the hotel. Accommodation. Embark on a pilgrimage in the footsteps of Saint Francis of Assisi, visiting his tomb in the Basilica. Discover the eternal history of Rome, with monuments like the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and St. Peter’s Basilica.

DAY 2: CHRISTIAN ROME / VATICAN MUSEUMS / SISTINE CHAPEL AND ST. PETER’S

Breakfast. In the morning, we will head to the Vatican Museums to explore this vast collection of art and the famous Sistine Chapel, concluding our visit at the impressive St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon, we will delve into Christian Rome, visiting the Major Basilicas of Santa Maria Maggiore, St. John Lateran, and St. Paul Outside the Walls. Accommodation.

DAY 3: ROME / ASSISI / ROME

Breakfast. Early departure to the city of Assisi, to discover the medieval city where Saint Francis lived. We will start at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, home to the Porziuncola, the first Franciscan church. Then we will visit the Church of Santa Clara, where we can pray at the tomb of the Saint who was a friend of Saint Francis, and then cross the city through the Town Hall Square to reach the Basilica of Saint Francis, where the Saint’s Tomb and an impressive artistic complex are located. We can also visit the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a recently beatified Italian youth who has given witness to faith in our times. Return to Rome and accommodation.

DAY 4: PAPAL BLESSING – ANGELUS – BAROQUE AND IMPERIAL ROME

Breakfast. We will head to St. Peter’s Square, where traditionally every Sunday at noon, the Pope recites the Angelus and imparts his blessing to the attendees. We will continue our visit to Baroque Rome with a stroll through its main squares like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, or Piazza Navona. In the afternoon, our visit will focus on Imperial Rome as we explore the surroundings of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, Piazza Venezia with its impressive Altar of the Fatherland, and the Campidoglio. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 5: ROME / CITY OF ORIGIN

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
